  BE KIND TO YOURSELF

"Think good thoughts," they all say. 

I say, "Think good thoughts about yourself!"

Therein lies one of our greatest challenges. Here is the link to the Dialogue with Divinity Radio Show with Johanna Carroll where we talk about tea. We go even further, though.  Instead of "gulp and go," let's slow down with a cup of tea and use that time to reprogram the thoughts lingering in our heads. Thoughts that no longer serve us. CAN YOU LIVE A SIMPLER LIFE?

Yes, I'm asking myself this question right now. Nothing like an impending move to prompt one to ask this question.  Which leads to all kinds of other questions: Why do I have so much stuff? Why am I holding on to things? What can I let go of? What was I thinking? How am I feeling about all these things? Important questions, wouldn't you say? Look around you -- what do you see? Lots of stuff, I bet! Here are a few suggestions -- do have a look.

Nope -- it seems it's the opposite -- have less -- BE more.  Society has purposefully steered us into being trapped by our stuff -- all our possessions -- that we don't really own -- stuff we bought on credit. Stuff it'll take years to pay off! Stuff that keeps us STUCK!

 NO FOOLS & NO RULES

Too many excuses.

So much information about the benefits of meditation is out there -- and -- it's right here, too! 

There are no rules for meditating and the only fools are the ones who don't try it and stay with it. Give yourself 20 minutes every day for trying it -- there is no wrong way to meditate. If you are trying it -- you are doing it!  

To help people stay focused, I have created an "active" meditation, in which you are sipping a cup of tea.  A "passive" meditation is where you simply sit still. Sadly, most people are challenged by this in the beginning. This is why having a cup of tea during your meditation makes it easier to get started.

Self-betrayal or self-compromise? Those are worse than someone betraying you, or you compromising for another. Compromising your own integrity or betraying your mission or purpose in this lifetime -- could anything be worse for your own sense of self-worth.

Nope! 

Ask yourself if this is happening in your life. Get real with yourself when you answer.

WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE DOING? 

Do we have to have things taken away from us so that we can actually start doing what it is we truly want to do?  Doors open and doors close. It's a whole lot easier to slip in through an open door -- wouldn't you think? The universe sometimes has to close certain doors for us so that we can walk through or at least knock on the door of the place we wholeheartedly desire to be. 

Instead of ranting and raving when a door closes -- keep your eyes open to see what will now present itself to you ...
